If you are doing a series on these things, perhaps at the end of each review do a score board of where you rate it against the other products, perhaps rated against critical features or something of that nature? Good overview of your set up, thanks! I'm pretty new to motovlogging and have been doing a lot of similar experiments. I use a similar set up to this and also prefer the ultra wide view. I have tried to use a lav mic, but given up as I found it so much easier just to glue a cold-shoe mount inside my chin bar, which the clip on the Mic2 then just slides into. That also means I can use the set up in the rain (we get a lot of that here in the UK) with no problem. I have the dead cat fitted, gain set to -12dB and noise reduction off (like you said, I prefer the sound with it turned off and also have the low pass filter turned off too). I'm also experimenting with having the "Audio to video sync" turned on in the camera, so the mic automatically records internally as well as to the camera which can be a useful backup incase things go pear shaped, especially if using the 32 bit float recording setting. For tyre pressure sensors (that fit on your valves) be careful, it seems that it is dangerous to use on soft/rubber valve stems as the sensors will make your valve stems fail (I checked things out for my FJR and decided to not take the risk. Be sure to read up on sensor vs valve-stems before buying/using.

This could be a tough one. Innovv makes some great dash cams! I bought several over the years. I still have to give the nod to the chigee because of the mounting system, and the dongle giving me access to my BMW whizzy wheel

I just got a 2006 FJR 1300 with 77,000 miles. I saw some articles about it on the FJR owners forum UK. They were talking about this service and how some people skip it because its difficult to do. Now I understand. They show a video on there where someone had a go pro on and had a catastrophic failure of those parts. Something snapped, the back wheel collapsed up into the bike and a bad wreck. The one I got seems to be in pretty good shape, but I will want to gave thet done just to know its all in good shape. Wow thats a huge tear down. The guy I bought it from does a lot of work on them. Im sure he would understand everything in this video. I can understand it because its VERY WELL Explained, but Im nowhere near mechanically inclined enough to be able to do that. What a great video! Thank you for this review. Just one question: Are both elements illuminated when the high beam is selected? I’m concerned that without the low beam projector light on, the high beam alone will be inadequate for showing the nearer objects on the road.

Thanks for the review Bryan. I have a light out in my 14 and was waiting on your review. I just thought there had to be an LED that would work. Ali#xpress is a good conduit to buy straight from China. I have found "overall" they have good quality and cheap prices. If they are making money on these, the US could do the same. It's a shame. It will be interesting to see how long they will last. Considering the access to replace, hopefully they will. One word of caution for those ordering.....be careful, don't hit the order button too soon. Remember, those boxes below the bold item description are selection for different models. Make sure the ones checked are the ones you want. I learned the hard way.

(22:17) You can see the stock light on the ground just off to the right side....reminds me of the old caddilac cornering lighs (1st gen goldwings had those also instead of fogs) that come on when you put turn signal on.

13:25 - it does in the case of low beams, they need to be slightly canted to the right to avoid blinding the oncoming traffic.
